Turkey Burger Sliders with Sautéed Onions, Sharp Cheddar and Horseradish

Forget McDonalds or Burger King! These burgers have all the hefty

flavors and they’re bite-size. The horseradish adds that tingly extra kick to put these snacks over the top. Onion, grass-fed turkey and garlic all contribute to diabetes healing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar cheese cut into quarters
  • 1/4 cup horseradish
  • 1 Ezekiel sprouted grain bun toasted and cut into quarters

Directions:

Heat the olive oil and sauté the onions for 10-15 minutes or until soft and starting to caramelize.

Spread horseradish on the buns, top with the burgers and onions and serve open-faced.

TIPS AND NOTES:

Add jalapenos, roasted peppers, lettuce or tomatoes to make these even heartier burgers.
